FIND YOUR FIT – LAST CHOOSING MADE EASY
Trying to identify the optimal fit manually from an extensive last selection can be time-consuming.
To make our customers' workdays easier, Klaveness developed a useful tool that helps select the most compatible last for each patient. This math-based tool compares and ranks the lasts within the defined tolerance. Results are presented in decreasing order of compatibility.

CMF FITTING SERVICE – REDUCE WASTE, GAIN TIME
Klaveness implemented the CMF Fitting Service to optimise processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.
Now, our customers can have their CMF combined with the MSS and INDIVIDUAL FOOTWEAR orders fitted and delivered in the same package. By default, standard footbeds are no longer inserted in the footwear unless requested.
It's a win/win! Customers don't waste precious patient time, and we confirm each foot orthotic!

SHOES MADE WITH 40% SUNPOWER
The Klaveness Group is a certified sustainable company. We continuously try to meet the higher standards of social and environmental demands.
Lately, by installing solar panels in our production facility in Portugal, we manage to self-generate over 35% of our electricity needs, which makes our shoe production more sustainable!

NEW iPad SCANNER APP FROM KLAVENESS
Many of Klaveness’ orthopaedic customers have requested a more portable solution for scanning patients’ feet. We have taken this request back to the drawing board, and we are now proud to present our new iPad scanner app.
The Klaveness iPad scanner app was developed to work seamlessly together with the Structure Sensor by Occipital.

SHOE OF THE MONTH - ME 1420
ME 1420 on Thor last is October's shoe of the month and is one of the newcomers this fall.
The Boa Fit System has become a popular locking mechanism for its unique ability to distribute even pressure, which substantially improves the fit of the shoe. It's easy and quick to adjust, making sure you can use it with only one hand.
This style is designed for cold weather conditions and has a warm felt lining, making sure your feet stay warm during the winter season.
ME 1420 is equipped with a functional and lightweight EVA sole, with shock absorber and rubber track, giving you traction when it is needed.

FOOTWEAR IN THE 21ST CENTURY - NEW SKILLS FOR THE SCIENTIFICALLY-LED DESIGN OF COMFORTABLE, SUSTAINABLE AND FASHION-ORIENTED FOOTWEAR PRODUCTS
Klaveness production facility in Portugal is an Erasmus+ SciLed project partner.
The project started on January 1st, 2019 and will be conducted over three years. On the one hand, SciLed aims to introduce updated, high-level skills in footwear design curricula to train future footwear specialists able to answer to consumers’ demands for more personalised and sustainable products while contributing to a better planet. On the other hand, the modernised curricula and the innovative learning methods based on new technologies developed by the project team will render the footwear sector more attractive to young people.

August's shoe of the month is our new summer sandal ME 1045 - A multi-purpose sandal that supports the ankle and protects the toes.

This style is made with three extra-long cut-to-length velcros so that they are easy to cut into the desired length. This is an excellent choice for example for swollen feet that need protection and support.
The upper is a combination of nappa and split velour. Nappa is very durable and protective, it's a soft and natural material that is both breathable and insulating. It adapts to the shape of the foot, maximizing comfort and individualized fit. Split velour is a thin and lightweight leather, that is robust and breathable. It resembles velvet in look and feel, giving this style an exclusive feel.
Thermoplastic Rubber (TR) soles are durable and slip-resistant, giving you traction when needed. Thermoplastic rubber is also recyclable.

CF 19270 - The perfect summer sandal!
July's shoe of the month is our new open toe sandal!
Available in two classic colour combinations, making this style versatile and easy to wear.
The velcro ankle straps ensure a perfect fit and the PU wedge heel offers stability and a subtle height. This style also has elastic inserts on the medial side and a padded heel.
The upper is made in a durable and protective soft leather that is both breathable and insulating. The PU soles are lightweight, resilient, flexible and have good ground insulation and shock-absorbing properties. These soles also have the best durability performance.

Summer is finally here!
The sun is shining and the temperatures are rising, making sandals the perfect footwear for the season ahead. June's shoe of the month is ME 1046, our new sandal!
This model has adjustable heel support and velcros securing the perfect fit for you. It has a pig velour upper and a soft leather lining for good breathability for warm summer days.
ME 1046 has removable footbeds that can be easily replaced with individual foot orthotics.
The sole is in lightweight PU which is flexible and has good shock-absorbing properties. A rubber track finishes this sporty design and gives you traction when needed. The PU/rubber combination also makes these sandals very durable!

Our proud newcomer FK 2051 - Maud is May's shoe of the month!
Maud is inspired by Norway's first Queen after the union resolution. The Queen was known as well-dressed and elegant, which this bunad shoe also represents. Maud has feminine lace details in leather and a buckle inspired by the first bunad shoe produced by Klaveness.
We have also dressed Maud with a feminine 50mm heel, which makes the shoe elegant and neat. It is crafted with a soft leather upper and real leather soles. It's available in black, or black with red details.

SHOE OF THE MONTH - ME 1043
ME 1043 makes room for your toes! Stretchy lycra-neoprene accommodates the shape of the forefoot. Stretch gives comfort for metatarsal bones and joints, but this classic design also allows more space for instep!
The combination of textile and leather solves problems and you can secure the fit by one Velcro with return. Its soft tongue ensures that the pressure isn´t too much for feet that need softness. This new style is lasted on Ortho and is available with a PU sole.

GET PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS WITH THE ICE SOLE SOLUTION
Ice and snow can cause slippery situations during winter. A well-known solution is wearing ice-tracks, but these are not allowed inside shops as they damage the floor with their spikes.
Klaveness has therefore developed a patented reversible and twistable ice sole, which can hinge under the sole and lock at the rear. This makes it easy to change from ice track to normal shoe sole, without using tools.

SHOE OF THE MONTH - ME C3D
When the leaves start to cover the ground it is time for a good pair of walking shoes that prioritize your comfort and simultaneously improve your posture.
Let us introduce Optima ME C3D to you.
This new stock style is based on last Mac3 which stabilizes your foot with each step you take. The semi-rigid midsole together with the spring system improves the movement by inducing a mechanical rolling motion that redistributes plantar pressure.
Limitations of the seams avoid risks of rubbing, injury and provide a total comfort.
The spring system on Mac3 last is a propulsive synthetic fibre internal insert that induces a mechanical rolling motion with each step. It reduces pressure and enhances performance as it also reactivates the gluteus medius muscle which gives you an improved posture while walking.

The 18-19th October is the time for the shoe technicians annual meeting at Scandic Järvakrog in Stockholm.
