ACT

The Norwegian Transparency Act came into force on 1 July 2022.

WHAT IS THE TRANSPARENCY ACT?

The purpose of the Act is to promote enterprises' respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and the provision of services and ensure the general public access to information regarding how enterprises address adverse impacts on fundamental human rights and decent working conditions.

WHO DOES IT APPLY TO?

The Act applies to larger enterprises that are residents of Norway and that offer goods and services in or outside Norway.

The Act also applies to larger foreign enterprises that offer goods and services in Norway and are liable to tax to Norway pursuant to internal Norwegian legislation.
Klaveness Footwear AS is subject to the Act.

Safeguarding human rights and decent working conditions is an important part of the sustainability work at Klaveness Footwear AS.

Klaveness Footwear AS has initiated the work of carrying out due diligence in accordance with the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and will publish an account of the due diligence on the website in accordance with the Act by 30 June 2023.

Upon written request, any person has the right to information regarding how the enterprise addresses current and potential adverse impacts on fundamental human rights and decent working conditions.
